After a year away from the Jiu Jitsu competition scene 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu Hobart’s Natalie Frankcombe was selected for the Legion Fight Sports 4 woman grappling tournament.

The tournament took place in Launceston on the 22nd of July 2023 with 3 other female grapplers all representing from different academies from around the state.

Winning the first round via a D’arce strangle; Nat made her way into the finals against Brazilian Native now residing in Launceston Larissa Souza. Both ladies worked very hard during the 8 minute regulation round with neither wanting to give up position. with 20 seconds to go Nat managed a high crotch takedown off the cage to take Larissa to the ground and quickly aquired an Ankle Lock, winning the round and the title belt with just 8 seconds left on the clock.

This also marks the first time in Tasmania where a female grappling exhibition title belt has been up for grabs, a big hand for Legion Fight Sports for leading the way.

Nat now has 3 Championship belts with the Legion Title added to the 2018 & 2019 AUS SUB ONLY Champion which Natalie won in Sydney NSW during the respective years.
