Jiu Jitsu is the fastest growing Martial Art in the world today, 20 years ago it only existed in Brazil but now tens of thousands of BJJ academies are thriving all over the planet.

At 10th Planet Hobart we focus on the evolution of Jiu-Jitsu as well as a focus on the cerebral side of the art. Jiu-Jitsu has often times been likened to human chess, where we try to think ahead and set up moves to ultimately control and submit our opponent.

“Absorb what is useful, discard what is useless and add what is specifically your own” - Bruce Lee

Our Fundamental classes run in line with the 10th Planet Warm Up curriculum, in this class you will learn a bunch of positions that have a higher chance of occurrence and it is also run at a nice steady pace so you can spend time practising, this ensures you walk away with the confidence of having learned something.

Our coaches are highly skilled and competition proven having medaled either at State, National and/or International Level Competitions, including Aus Sub Only, Grappling Industries and ADCC
